Redra,

If you are trying to do look ahead typing in a column with a drop down
datawindow, there is a PFC service that does this... look at the sort
service.

As for getting a key that was pressed, map a user event to pbm_key (there's
also pbm_keyDown and pbm_keyUp in some places) that will tell you want key
was pressed.
