Audy,

By the way, did you know about the new PB5.0.04 EBF#3? There are some
Y2K-related fixes in it. You can download it from the bottom of
http://download.sybase.com/esd/pb.html

I do not know much about Oracle, but here is what I've gathered...

There is a beta version of Oracle 8 (pbor8050.dll) available from
PB5.0.04. You have to check the corresponding choice when installing.

If you don't need any specific Oracle 8 features, you can still use the
pbo73050.dll, even to connect to Oracle 8.x.

>From PB5.0.04 Readme.txt:
Oracle 8 Driver - PowerBuilder 5.0.04 includes a beta version of a driver
for Oracle8. We do not expect to release this driver in a GA version until
6.0.01, it is included to facilitate migration to PowerBuilder 6.0.

For more info, try some searches from here:
http://www.pfcguide.com/_newsgroups/search.asp

Anyone else know where Audy should look for such a Oracle 8.04 driver?

Have fun,
~Sharon
