Thanks, all. Your suggestions helped me come up with a solution.
I was able to run everything from the pfc_open event in my "n_cst_app." I wanted to
manage intialization, login, db connection and main window open from that one event.
I already moved my db connection off to a separate "ue_dbconnect" event on n_cst_app,
and that seemed to provide the key.
My original order of operations:
Initialize (environment, paths, constants, etc.)
of_Splash
of_Login
ue_dbConnect
open(w_main)
My new order of operations:
Initialize (environment, paths, constants, etc.)
of_Login
ue_dbConnect
of_Splash
open(w_main)
Moving the call to of_splash to after the ue_dbconnect seems to do the trick. Not
having the Login window plastered over the splash screen looks a little more tidy, as
well.
