Greeting from Washington DC,
I have done this successfully and...
As I recall; 1) the tab-object is a control instantiated on the window
(actually as a PB object in the window's Control array), 2) the tab-object
has a tab page array (one array element for each tab-page), 3) each
tab-page will have its own control array.
So, from a window event( or function), you can reference an DW control
object on the first individual tab-page like this:
<<name of your tab-object instance>>.tabpage_1.dw_1
or you could do this:
<<name of your tab-object instance>>.control[ 1 ].dw_1
I apologize for by brevity, if anything is not clear and you wished to have
it explained at more length, please let me know.

Subject: PFCSIG referencing controls on a tab control
Hi all,
Well this is not really a PFC question but perhaps you have seena PFC
solution:
I have a window with two large text fields and a datawindow object on it,
with lots of code written into them.
I wanted to change the window so that it has the controls put on seperate
tabs of a tab control.
I created a tab control window, then cut and pasted the text controls and
the datawindow onto it.
Unfortunately, for some reason, now none of the window UDF's can see the
controls that are now on the tab control.
for example, the datawindow appears in the object list for the window when
editing a window event or UDF, but the script complains that there is no
such control.
Any ideas?
I thouroughly searched the help, but could find no references to this
behavior, and there doesn't seem to be any way to actually refer to the
controls on the tab window by
tabcontrol.tab.mycontrol
type syntax.
Thanks,
Vivian Cromtpon
