Greenbrier & Russel did make a tool that does this, its called ObjectSmith.
But, if current releases are like the one in my office, it will only work
with a given rversion of PB (i.e. PB 5). Meaning, when one upgrades, say
from PB5 to PB6, you also have to shell out more dough for an upgrade to
ObjectSmith.
What I do instead is use WinGREP from Hurricane Software
(www.hurricane.com). If you are not familiar with the GREP utility, it is a
traditional UNIX tool that does string searches and replacements. If you
want to hear more about, it let me know.

Subject: PFCSIG hi..
To all,
I work in PB6.5 with MS SQL Server v7.0 on WinNT.
I would like to know whether any tool is available to scan through an entire
powerbuilder application for a string and to replace the same with another
string.
Ex.
In PB Application, I would have used "C:\ABC" for refering to a file path
(it can be in any object) which should be replaced with "D:\XYZ". Doing
that manually is tedious. By mistake i may leave some which will land up in
problem.
So, If anyone has the tool, please update me as early as possible.
Thanks,
SSN
