I think I've done something like this.
I needed to add additional functionality to the w_sortdragdrop window.
So, I made w_hr_sortdragdrop with w_sortdragdrop as it's ancestor.
w_sortdragdrop is opened from the n_cst_dwsrv_sort datawindow service.
I needed to open w_hr_sortdragdrop instead of w_sortdragdrop.
So, I made n_hr_cst_dwsrv_sort with n_cst_dwsrv_sort as it's ancestor.
In n_hr_cst_dwsrv_sort, I override of_setsort and open up my
w_hr_sortdragdrop instead.
n_cst_dwsrv_sort is instantiated in the pfc datawindow and I needed the
datawindow to use my new n_hr_cst_dwsrv_sort instead.
So, I made n_hr_dw (inherited from pfc datawindow) with a of_SetSort in it
which instantiates n_hr_cst_dwsrv_sort instead of n_cst_dwsrv_sort.
Sounds like a lot more than it actually was.

I'd be interested in the answer to this also. My current project
switched to a simple two-level (pfc and pfe only) structure when we were
unable to resolve this issue; but, we did not have any code in the
middle-layer that wasn't easily moved directly into u_dw. I have to say,
however, that while experimenting, I was able to get it to work in one case
(that unfortunately I did not document). I was experimenting with modifying
the exported code, and probably did something PB didn't doesn't support from
the IDE. So... there may be an answer out there, but it may not be possible
through the IDE.

parameters.
How can I resolve this?
