Thank you all for the quick response. 

File has been opened in linemode.  I did try to use 
String ls_temp then SetNull(ls_temp) and then write ls_temp
to the file but it didn't work.

I also tried putting Char(0) in file but no gain.

I am reading it with a string type variable and reading the
file line by line.
