I think you are getting the default pb error window as well as your message.
Try returning 1 from the event after you format your message. The following
is from the help file on the dberror event:

        Return value
Long. Return code choices (specify in a RETURN statement):

        0 Display the error message
1 Do not display the error message

        Subject: PFCSIG PFC/PB 7 - How do I issue a better message
for an SQL error (i.e. insert duplicate key) in the PFC save process?

I am trying to trap an SQL error(i.e. duplicate key on insert)
during the
        pfc save process
and am trying to determine the best way to trap this and issue a
better
        error message
than the standard PFC generated error message ... I have tried
putting the
        code
in the dberror event and overriding the ancester code from u_dw,
and that
        works ok
to give me my new error message, but then it also issues another
message
that seems to come from within the pfc somewhere else ... I am also
unsure
        of
what may be affected by overriding the ancestor code in the dberror
event.
If anyone has ideas on the best way to do this, I would appreciate
it. Thx
        in advance.
