Fun Fact: 1943: When someone "gave" their Nobel Prize to a Nazi
In 1943, Knut Hamsun, who had won the Nobel Prize for literature in
1920, sent it in admiration to Joseph Goebbels, Nazi propaganda
minister. The medallion was lost when Goebbels, in 1945, committed
suicide.
