They have, however, constructed ways for their ire to manifest in more permanent ways. Hit pieces, both on GamerGate websites and in "satire" wikis (that in reality consist of nothing other than libel and character assassination) written by members of their movement, are explicitly meant to do lasting harm that is impossible to walk away from. Randi Harper and many other women have previously written about their experiences with such sites." -- Sarah Nyberg - - - Discussion invited on the Social Media Abuse Discussions community: https://plus.google.com/communities/118072993467571740264 --Lauren-- Lauren Weinstein ([email protected]): http://www.vortex.com/lauren Founder: - Network Neutrality Squad: http://www.nnsquad.org - PRIVACY Forum: http://www.vortex.com/privacy-info Co-Founder: People For Internet Responsibility: http://www.pfir.org/pfir-info Member: ACM Committee on Computers and Public Policy Lauren's Blog: http://lauren.vortex.com Google+: http://google.com/+LaurenWeinstein Twitter: http://twitter.com/laurenweinstein Tel: +1 (818) 225-2800 / Skype: vortex.com I have consulted to Google, but I am not currently doing so.
