Law student sues to overturn new TSA full-body scan policy

A law student in Miami has asked a federal appeals court
to overturn a new Transportation Security Administration policy
that could require travelers to use full-body scanners at
airport checkpoints even if they opt for a pat-down search.

Watched some young morons on CNN telling interviewers that they had no
problem with this because they were sure it would keep them safe,
especially after Paris and San Bernardino. Apparently they're unaware of
the fact that TSA routinely fails nearly every test to see how well they
detect guns or explosives well hidden on the body or in luggage --
especially in luggage. So it seems very likely that the new rule --
which apparently also prevents you from just leaving without imaging
screening once you've been tagged in this way -- will be used to harass
innocent people in the usual manner of routine TSA abuses. And while the
current millimeter wave scanners using non-ionizing radiation should
cause far fewer health concerns than the atrocious body scanning x-ray
machines that have now been retired from U.S. airports, the fact is that
this is a new way for TSA to act out its security theater to the
detriment of law-abiding citizens.
