Cancel culture run amok: Professor attacked after showing Laurence
Olivier's 1965 classic "Othello"
This is a perfect example of cancel culture run amok. A professor who
was a two time Pultizer finalist and winner of MacArthur "genius"
grant has been sidelined because he DARED(!) to show a class the
uber-classic 1965 Laurence Olivier film "Othello" -- which of course
includes the famed actor performing the role in its traditional
blackface. Wait until these kids find out about Al Jolson and film's
first sound feature, "The Jazz Singer." This is what we get from an
educational system that refuses to teach history in a realistic
context. Disastrous, because all art can only be reasonably viewed in
the context of its time. --Lauren--
