UKRAINE UPDATE
Talks between Ukraine and Russia in progress -- Ukraine demands
immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of Russian troops. Zelinsky
considers them unlikely to be successful but wanted to at least try.
Arms and other military supplies are pouring into Ukraine from
countries around the world, including ones like Sweden (and possibly
Switzerland) who have traditionally refrained from such actions. Also
in another unusual move from the EU.
Putin goes on nuclear alert, increasing concerns about his
mental state and isolation from his own advisors.
Ukraine urgently asks to join the EU.
Russian planes being blocked from airspace of many
countries around the world.
Russian controlled Belarus may join the battle against Ukraine.
More countries consider joining NATO, exactly the opposite of the
results Putin had hoped for.
Ruble plunges 30%, U.S. prohibits transactions with Russia Central Bank.
Some Russian banks blocked from SWIFT.
Companies and organizations around the world rush to break ties with Russa.
And remember, it was Donald Trump who attempted to block support to
Ukraine as blackmail to try force Ukraine to invent dirt on Biden.
