Musk's outstanding ignorance
Not only is Musk demonstrating his ignorance of content moderation
laws and exposures, his talk of making Twitter's algorithm "open source"
and simultaneously "fighting bots and spam" demonstrates that his
ignorance in these respects is a bottomless pit. Because when you
expose these algorithms, they will be immediately gamed by
bad players -- it's a permanently adversarial relationship.
Oh, speaking of ignorance, did you hear him a couple of days ago
about how he wants to build his fantasy hyperloop underground now,
because underground you don't have to worry about weather and
if there were a hurricane overhead you wouldn't even know it.
He used subways as an example. I mean, let's face it, he's in
fantasyland -- apparently has never seen the footage of horrifically
flooded subway systems -- including NYC from ... a hurricane!
