Android development query
Was asked an Android development question I can't answer off the top
of my head. App that worked under A11 stopped working under A12,
because a key file needed by the app must be read from (internal)
/sdcard. There are a variety of access methods in 12 of course.
Question:
Developer wants to minimize changes to current code, which access the
file in /sdcard via a full path. What is the *simplest* change they
can make to emulate the old behavior? Is there any world-readable
directory in A12? (I don't know of one that would work for this.)
Any suggestions appreciated. Minimal code changes are critical.
Thanks! -L
P.S. In case anyone reading this is unfamiliar with the issue, the
"scoped storage" model in A12 blocks apps from reading /sdcard as they
used to, at least without additional code and permissions.
