[Gambling ruins lives] As streamers threaten boycott, Amazon's Twitch
takes action on some gambling content + California gambling on the
ballot
The backstory here is rising ire over Twitch's implicit promotion of
addictive gambling behavior. Make no mistake about it, gambling is a
sickness that can ruin lives. This included initiatives -- look at your
ballot, Californians -- that are promted as providing money for social
services, but actually are massive expansions of online gambling. VOTE
