More on Musk banning Mastodon links, etc.
I'm getting more reports re Musk censoring Mastodon links on Twitter,
here are some I've received. I don't have a way right now to confirm
these directly.
1) Some M links in posts reported totally blocked -- may be limited to
particular
major Mastodon instances
2) Some M links in profiles reported blocked, some reported to be throwing
an "unsafe" warning before being accessible.
3) Reports that if a user attempts to edit their Twitter profile, they cannot
save the new version without removing M links first.
My own Twitter profile, which contains both an M link and my M handle
address, appears OK currently, and the link is working normally. I am
not going to attempt editing of the profile.
I don't know if these actions are being taken against specific Twitter
users, specific M instances, are in the process of rolling out
more completely, or some combination of the above.
