More on Twitter blocking Mastodon
Reports continue to come in of #Twitter users who are trying to edit
their Twitter profiles and are finding that they cannot save the new
version successfully if it contains their #Mastodon clickable URL.
Reportedly non-URL forms are OK for now, e.g.: @user@instance
It is not clear to what extent existing profiles that already contain
Mastodon URLs are affected. There are some reports of Mastodon URLs
receiving "unsafe" warnings when clicked. Some Twitter profile
Mastodon URLs still are unaffected and are working normally -- so long
as no attempt is made to edit them.
It is not clear if references to *all* Mastodon instances are affected
at this time. This is also all a separate issue from reported blocking
of URL references to Mastodon in Twitter posts themselves. -L
