Theocracy in the U.S.
The rapidly deteriorating situation in Israel -- with Netanyahu
("Bibi") rushing to turn the country into another theocratic Iran to
cement his own personal power and evade criminal liabilities, is an
example of how tying a country's government to religion in such ways --
and that means ANY religion -- is always ultimately a path to
anti-democratic fascism, and discrimination against anyone and
everyone not fitting the racial/religious/sexual government edicts.
It could occur here as well, and there are many -- mainly in today's
fascist GOP -- working to try make this happen as soon as possible.
