Biden administration considers banning gas stoves
I know this is an unpopular view, but my sense is that these moves to
force consumers to give up natural gas powered
appliances/heating/generators are handing the fascists a powerful
talking point. Especially when the regulations call for retrofitting (or
making unreplaceable) existing gas heating and cooking systems (and
emergency generators) with purely electric ones (as opposed to just
requiring them in new construction), the costs and opportunities for all
manner of scams and collateral negative effects are very large. The
sense that this push is largely being driven by political motives, with
issues of practicality being swept under the rug, is palpable. -L
