Politicians' Internet Endgame
It is ironic that many of the same politicians who rant endlessly about
the "Chinese Menace" and "Big Tech" advertising -- are now pushing to
turn the Internet into a Chinese-style hellhole where everyone would
need to show government ID to use most sites (to prove they're not
children), and creating a vast government surveillance regime of
everything you do on the Net. That *is* their endgame. -L
