Discussing generative AI risks on my Monday evening network radio
segement (maybe)

Tonight on my usual Monday evening network radio tech segment, I hope
to discuss issues regarding controlling generative AI, and in
particular protecting creators and websites from potentially abusive
generative AI behaviors. This is not 100% yet -- more urgent topics
can derail a topic like this right up to show time.

It occurs to me that while the term of course wasn't used back them,
the 1981 film "Looker" -- ignoring the dramatic murders and stasis
guns and such -- at its foundation involved a key aspect of the problem -- in the movie's case the use of (what we'd now call) generative AI
to replace living actresses with computer-generated versions after the
systems had been trained by the actual persons. Fascinating. -L
