Imagine the glee of hackers who have previously tried to access
#Twitter accounts of users whose account credentials have already been
compromised, but where the hackers were blocked by SMS 2FA from
getting into those accounts. On the day that SMS 2FA is disabled by
Twitter on those accounts, it becomes Twitter Hacking Golden Day for
the hackers! -L
