In terms of misinformation, Google Help Forums are more like Twitter/X
every day
This has always been a problem to some degree, but lately so many
people are coming to me with Google-related questions where the Google
Help Forums are worse than useless. The "Accepted Answers" are often
totally wrong (or don't actually answer the question asked!). The so
called "experts" in many threads don't seem able to even understand
the questions, and repeatedly reply with "answers" that don't address
the actual questions in any way, then they lock the threads. Utterly
useless. Slap in the face to the users looking for help.
It's getting seriously worse when accurate help is needed more than
ever. -L
