What's really going on with Google being unwilling to tell the truth
about Trump
Let's be REALLY clear about what #Google is doing with its Gemini
"AI". When I asked it if Donald Trump has ever told a lie, and it
responded that it's still learning how to answer that question and
suggested using Google Search instead, you're hearing from HUMANS, not
a Large Language Model.
OBVIOUSLY, Gemini COULD answer that question. In fact there are other
"AI" chatbots that will, citing numerous specific examples of his
lies, including from court cases. But humans at Google don't WANT
Gemini answering that question. They don't want to risk offending
anyone by confirming an obvious fact about Trump.
So while Google is all too happy to take information from other sites
for Gemini, compose answers, and not even give those sites credit for
the answers or links back to those sites -- when it comes to this
particular question about a known serial liar, Google is all too happy
to divert to those other sites rather than have the guts to answer
this easily answered question directly.
Google should be absolutely and deeply ashamed of itself. Disgraceful.
