The pressure to switch from ATSC 1.0 to 3.0 is all about scrambling
over the air TV to prevent recording, and to enable paytv over the air
services. Most TVs made now don't even HAVE 3.0 tuners, except for
very expensive ones. It's basically a massive scam, that will mainly
hurt people who can't afford streaming or cable, and rely on over the
air TV. Just slitting consumers' throats. -L
