The first episode of the U.S. War Department/Warner Bros. "Private
Snafu" series for troops in 1943. These shorts (like many of the
in-service films produced during the period), were remarkably frank
in many ways, and were explicitly not intended for public viewing.
In this introductory episode, Snafu is introduced, as is the origin of
his name in a rather amusing way. Keep your eye on that "F"!
