Regarding attempts to prohibit 3D printing of gun parts

I should note that this is basically an academic discussion. There is
no practical way to broadly apply such a prohibition in the 3D printer
space, since the units can be constructed from commodity parts and
open source firmware/software. Targeting a particular manufacturer
(like Creality) will drive that segment of the users elsewhere.
Similarly the model files for creating the parts would undoubtedly
continue to be disseminated one way or another.
