Trump's missile defense scam to enrich Elon Musk
Just to be clear, ballistic missile defense systems are always nothing
but massive giveaways to defense contractors. This was the case for
Reagan's effort, and now for Trump's -- though Trump's is more
transparently designed to enrich one person -- Elon Musk. Hundreds of
billions of dollars on satellites to "kill" enemy ballistic missiles
are always a waste, because countermeasures to neuter the defense
system are vastly cheaper than the defense system itself, and you only
need to get a tiny fraction of missiles through to their targets to
destroy an adversary's entire country. It's a scam. Like everything
