If Iran nuke sites not "obliterated", why did Trump and Hegseth claim
they were?

It's interesting to consider why Trump and Hegseth claimed that Iran's
nuke sites were "obliterated" when in reality the U.S.' own
assessments are now suggesting damage was superficial and only set the
program back by months.

There are only two main possibilities. The first is they based their
statements on their amateur interpretation of early photos, and
ignored advice to wait until formal analysis by experts came in.

The second is that they were just outright lying.
