Hi all, There is now a tarball of wxWindows specifically for use with pgAdmin3 available at http://www.pgadmin.org/snapshots/wxWindows/wxWindows-pgAdmin3.tar.gz. This is based on the wxWindows CVS tree as of 2003-06-18, and includes Andreas' string.cpp patch.
The is the last known-to-be-good snapshot before the wx guys started seriously hacking their tree about, therefore this version should be used for future versions of pgAdmin3 for the forseeable future.
