We use xpm format for all the images, but I don't know if the HTML Help
viewer needs jpeg/png. Does it work if you get rid of them?

I'm using 8.0.3 on Windows and Linux, configured with --with-perl
--with-python --with-tcl --with-openssl (and --enable-nls on Windows).

Probably the only one that matters is openssl.
