Problem using new installation

I have just installed pgadmin4 v9.6 (I think) on my Rocky Linux laptop 
using dnf.
When I start the app (from the applications menu or command line), it 
wants an email address/username and password.
Nowhere in the install process was any authorisation set up so I have no 
idea how to login.
I have tried Linux username/passwords and pgadm...@pgadmin.org without 
success.
No log files are being created.
How can I confirm the app version?
