Build highly reliable and scalable applications in a small team environment. Those applications can range from transactional processes using message queues to business-critical internal tools, with opportunities to work with a variety of languages and technologies in a very small top tier team. Responsibilities • Build and maintain scalable Database infrastructure in a cloud hosted data center environment • Responsible for creating and maintaining high availability clustered PostgreSQL database servers • Install and configure servers Requirements • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience) • Passion for delivering secure quality codes • Passion to learn new technologies • Proficient in shell scripting and scripting languages • Experience with large-scale database and data warehouse • Disciplined approach to test-first and quality assurance • Large scale cloud automation experience using Chef or Puppet • Plan, implement and schedule backup and recovery plans Desired • Experience designing fault-tolerant distributed systems • Experiences with Cassandra, MongoDB, Memcached, and Redis is a huge plus • Experience with Hadoop or other MapReduce-based architectures • Experience with banking standards • Contributes to open source and has sample links • Great written communication and documentation abilities • Data-informed product development: analytics, A/B testing, etc. • Experience working in PCI/DSS certified systems Grata Emanuella
