There can never be too much monitoring on things like databases and clusters! So there shouldn't be just one way to monitor these. On replication server there should be log file like pgcluster.sts already is and also should be enabled some port where can query replication server status, little like cybercluster has done. Also each cluster db should keep some sort of information if it has working connection to replication server(s), this should be stored in DB. If it could also provide status for what replication server thinks about other clusters it would be even better. Would be also great if there would be possible to change cluster db and replication server status manually (error / ok / initialize).
