Dear Kim, I have finally managed to find and fix the bug!
It is an incompatibility between the Acrotex Bundle (which writes javascript to pdf) and babel. Since the clickable lib relies on the Acrotex Bundle, you get the error. I have written a bugfix which will be part of the next pgfplots stable. Furthermore, I contacted the author of the Acrotex Bundle with the bugfix. If you do not want to wait so long, you can use \makeatletter \let\pgfplots@roman@=\@roman \def\@roman#1{\romannumeral#1} \def\write@objs {% \iwvo{\begingroup} \iwvo{\string\catcode`\string\<=12 } \iwvo{\string\catcode`\string\>=12 } {\lccode`C=`\%\lowercase{\iwvo{\string\ccpdftex C}}} {\lccode`C=`\%\lowercase{\iwvo{\string\input{dljscc.def}C\the\dljsobjtoks}}} \iwvo{\endgroup} \iwvo{\string\endinput}% } \usepgfplotslibrary{clickable} \let\@roman=\pgfplots@roman@ \makeatother instead of \usepgfplotslibrary{clickable} in your preamble. Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense.
