trying to answer a question in TeX.stackexcnahge

I've found that 'named' cycle lists don't define a fill color therefore,
something like
'cycle list name=exotic' for bar plots automatically changes line colors
but all bars are empty and you need to
'pgfplotset' a cycle list to fill them. Is this behavior intended? If
default cycle list defines filling colors I think other ones could also do
it.
