When I turn on password authentication for local in the pg_hba.conf file I
get the following error on my dev box. On my sandbox it is fine, I don't
get this error. Is there some o/s setting differences that can cause
something like this?
psql jimdev
psql: pqReadData() -- backend closed the channel unexpectedly.
This probably means the backend terminated abnormally
before or while processing the request.
