Hi!
I'm having trouble installing pgsql 6.4.2 on an Irix system. I try to
install it exactly according to the instructions given in INSTALL, but I
would like to put the source etc in /home/postgres/pgsql/usr/src instead of
the usual /usr/src. The reason is that I don't have root access. Am I
trying to do something impossible or if not how do I specify the base
directory to use. I hope some of you might be able to help. Right now i get
lots of error messages when I try to compile the code using the enclose
makefile.
