Hello!

We are planning to install a postgres database along with an apache webserver
for a small e-business site. We assume that we will have about
5.000 customers (in a year) that access the database through JDBC.

Now my question:
We want to use a Pentium II-350Mhz machine with about 256 MB RAM and
9 GB Ultra-Wide SCSI hard disk. The database size will be about 50MB.
Could anyone tell me if this setup is fast enought to cope with 5.000 users
(5.000 hits per day)? Beeing new to postgres I assume that it should be fast
enought, but if anyone with more experience could give me a hint, I would be
thankful. Perhaps you can tell me what bandwidth we should reserve, too.

Thanks a lot
