We got simular errors from our database because of a disk-error.
To verify, you can either:
* Read the mots file directly, e.g. with "cat mots > /dev/null"
(in database data-directory)
* Read all files directly, e.g. with "cat * > /dev/null"
(in database data-directory)
* Check the whole partition with the /sbin/badblocks program
