Hi

I have vps (virtual private server) with freebsd-4.8. I have installed postgresql manually and when I run "/usr/local/etc/rc.d/postgresql.sh start" from shell server starts normally but when I use same script for booting the server I get following log:

Sep 20 08:38:58 mymasin postgres[48663]: [1-1] LOG: database system was shut down at 2004-09-20 00:03:04 CEST
Sep 20 08:38:58 mymasin postgres[48663]: [2-1] LOG: checkpoint record is at 0/9B7240
Sep 20 08:38:58 mymasin postgres[48663]: [3-1] LOG: redo record is at 0/9B7240; undo record is at 0/0; shutdown TRUE
Sep 20 08:38:58 mymasin postgres[48663]: [4-1] LOG: next transaction ID: 547; next OID: 17142
Sep 20 08:38:58 mymasin postgres[48663]: [5-1] LOG: database system is ready
Sep 20 08:38:59 mymasin postgres[48659]: [1-1] LOG: received smart shutdown request
Sep 20 08:38:59 mymasin postgres[48667]: [2-1] LOG: shutting down
Sep 20 08:39:01 mymasin postgres[48667]: [3-1] LOG: database system is shut down

Does somebody know what is killing the server at boot time?

Tnx

Boris
