Hello,
I'm setting up a new server with pgsql 7.4.3 and pg_autovacuum.
I'm going to set up a cronjob that shuts down the postmaster every night and then perform a "cold backup" of the data directory.
My question is: should I shutdown pg_autovacuum as well or may it leave the demon up and running while postmaster is down?
