I was wondering if anyone has had success implementing a warm spare database using WAL archiving on a v8.0.4 database. I know the documentation that states warm spare was in 8.2.4 manual but having read and re-read it, it "should" work as it is not using any v8.2-specific feature to achieve this. I'm in the midst of setting up one for a v8.0.4 database and would like to hear from those who've had experience doing this before.
