Hi Farhan,

> Are you facing any problems?

Yes, the files in data/pg_xlog directory hasn't been
updated. Here's the setting as far as checkpint
entries are concerned:

  checkpoint_segments = 3
  checkpoint_timeout = 5min
  checkpoint_warning = 30s

Does checkpoint not happen if there is no activity?
The last entry I see in the serverlog file is:

  2007-08-20 16:47:51.152 PDT] <  >LOG:  received SIGHUP, reloading
configuration files

Thank you.

A reload should be enough. Are you facing any problems?

After adjusting checkpoint related entries in postgresql.conf...

Hi everybody,

After adjusting checkpoint related entries in postgresql.conf

file, is it sufficient to issue:

  pg_ctl reload

Or am I supposed to do more than that?

Thank you in advance.
