I am using pgsql 8.2.5 on Solaris 9 sparc machine. I had a separate server which contains my application running. I need to connect the database from the application server same configuration Solaris 9. I am trying to add the IP address and net mask number in the "pg_hba.conf" of postgresql. When I restart the database, it is giving an error "LOG: could not bind socket for statistics collector: Cannot assign requested address". And the logs are telling the same error.
