Hello,
I have just installed Postgresql 7.1 on an RS6000-F40 from binaries downloaded from
Bull. The install was flawless. I however cannot get past the need to create a
database as psql fails as follows:
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program psql because of the following errors:
0509-150 Dependent module libreadline.a(libreadline.so) could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module libreadline.a(libreadline.so).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
There is definitely no library by this name in the system. If this was a Linux box, I
would just go grab a copy of the library and try it. This is AIX and therefore quite
limited compared to any Linux. Is there anywhere I can get this library compiled for
AIX?
