Instala Debian Lenny para x64-64 (tambien conocido como AMD64. No confundir con IA64 que es otra cosa). No uses el x86. No te sirve cambiar sólo el kernel, tienes que cambiar la libc y el compilador también (y por lo tanto todas las aplicaciones que usan libc, es decir el sistema completo).
