I'm assuming you mean http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_application by 'portable'... a "portable" version of a database server doesn't make any sense. a USB stick is not at ALL suitable as database storage, they perform really poorly on random writes, and if you're going to store the data on the systems hard disk, you might as well store the software there too as you can't access the data without the server software. -- john r pierce 37N 122W somewhere on the middle of the left coast -- Sent via pgsql-general mailing list ([hidden email]) To make changes to your subscription: http://www.postgresql.org/mailpref/pgsql-general _____ If you reply to this email, your message will be added to the discussion below: http://postgresql.1045698.n5.nabble.com/portable-version-for-Usb-Pen-tp58012 21p5801291.html To unsubscribe from portable version for Usb Pen, click here <http://postgresql.1045698.n5.nabble.com/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=unsu bscribe_by_code&node=5801221&code=Z3NzLml0YWx5QGlvbC5pdHw1ODAxMjIxfC03NTQ4OD k1MzE=> . <http://postgresql.1045698.n5.nabble.com/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=macr o_viewer&id=instant_html%21nabble%3Aemail.naml&base=nabble.naml.namespaces.B asicNamespace-nabble.view.web.template.NabbleNamespace-nabble.view.web.templ ate.NodeNamespace&breadcrumbs=notify_subscribers%21nabble%3Aemail.naml-insta nt_emails%21nabble%3Aemail.naml-send_instant_email%21nabble%3Aemail.naml> NAML -- View this message in context: http://postgresql.1045698.n5.nabble.com/portable-version-for-Usb-Pen-tp5801221p5801301.html Sent from the PostgreSQL - general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
