Right, that's one reason why I don't see a particular use case there. But CHECKPOINT right now has an explicit superuser check, and it would be nice to be able to avoid that. It's pretty normal to issue a CHECKPOINT right after a data load and before running a performance test, right? Shouldn't there be some way to do that without superuser? Regards, Jeff Davis
